46/52

"A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Maile: Our serious girl. Those eyes. That piercing gaze. This photo is so quintessentially 'her.'

Part of Che and Fidel's 52 project.

Last week, I particularly enjoyed the portraits posted by Kate, and Dee. Please, pay their beautiful pictures a visit.

Links for Your Weekend

Maile, telling me the color of each leaf in her hands. Her infinity scarf is c/o Bizzy B Crafts. Owl cardigan c/o The Wishing Elephant.

Whoop-whoop, it's Friday! And Tim and I get our first date night since May. MAY. We're soooo excited! This one should be especially fun too, as we'll be celebrating a friend's birthday at a new-to-us restaurant. Tomorrow we'll be heading to our favorite local toy store for a holiday season kickoff party, with crafts, games, and prizes. Maybe it's a bit early, but I'm so excited about all these warm, quaint things to do with Maile over the next two months. You can always follow along with us on Instagram, too! Sunday is for football around here, and a new part of the fun is watching Maile cheer along with the TV crowd. :)

Here are some links to things I'm loving around the web, for you to peruse this weekend. Enjoy!

A fabulous, honest blog.

J-Law being awesome, as usual.

Have you checked out my sponsor Kindred Oak yet?

My friend's family just started a new business called Insoles and Beyond. Worth checking out, especially if you -- like the majority of mamas -- are on your feet most of the day!

The twice-yearly "N-Sale" is happening, and though sales (in-store or online) tend to overwhelm me, I always hear about the amazing deals nabbed at this one.

Still tweeting, still not sure I'm 'doing it right.' But hey, I'm there!

The breastfeeding post. Thought-provoking, and I really enjoyed it.

Looking for some Christmas ideas for house and home? Check this out.

Some New York advertising students likely made the year (at least the week) of these subway conductors.

How to Get Important People to Respond to Emails. There's some great advice here, whether you're a blogger, an entrepreneur, etc.

Love the Bento lunches Meagan puts together for her adorable kiddos. Meagan also happens to have one of my favorite blogs!

I can't stop listening to all the amazing playlists curated by Anthropologie's official Spotify account, Anthropologie On Rotation. Especially "Turkey to Table."

I found myself feeling kind of prickly after reading this piece on parenting. Thoughts?

I successfully applied gel eyeliner for the first time, following this easy tutorial. Not sure I'll go back to my pencils!

17 Things That Lady Gaga Looks Like. Hilarious! (13 is my favorite.)

We made Korean Beef this week. Simple, delicious, and a great 'base' recipe you could do a million other things with, too!

And finally, this gorgeous nursery! (Nope, not a gender hint -- we're just as clueless as you are right now!)

Around This House

The cutest little ice cream face ever. With the sun shining through her hair, and those near-black, almond shaped eyes.

Someone likes pretending to sleep, right around what used to be her nap time. Part precious, part why-don't-you-still-take-naps-Miss-Maile?

I've been desperately trying to add an afternoon movie to our routine over the past week, as first trimester exhaustion has hit me full force.

A delectable meal of Crock Pot Savory Asian Meatballs. Tiny amount of work, big flavor ...

When Tim is home, we spend a lot of our time cooking dishes like this one.

Maile giving her dada a checkup. (He needed a shot!)

Bizzy B Crafts

About two months ago, when I first started accepting sponsors of See You There, I had the pleasure of starting to get to know Brittany, of Bizzy B Crafts. Brittany quickly became one of my favorite people. I'm all about pieces for mamas and littles that you can wear all year 'round, which is the case with everything in Brittany's shop. I was really excited when Brittany, designer and businesswoman behind Bizzy B Crafts, decided to sponsor See You There, and asked Maile to be a part of her shop!

I've featured a few of the photos we've done for Bizzy B Crafts ... see more of her lovely work here

*And use code fall2013 for $5 off your Bizzy B Crafts order of $25 or more. Happy Weekend!

Happy 'Monday' to ya! Today, we have a giveaway from Brittany, the maker of some of the prettiest hair accessories Maile has ever owned. Truly, these are those handmade pieces you know will last forever, even with little toddler hands grabbing at them all day.

This week, one lucky reader is going to win an item from Brittany's shop, Bizzy B Crafts!

Brittany asked me to select my two favorite current items for you to select from, and here's what I came up with (not an easy decision):

This Triangle Fall Colored Felt Elastic Headband (you may also select the cool metallic color combo -- so cute). Or,

This Set of Five Neutral No Snag Hair Ties (you may also select the Chevron Set).

Every one of these items are available in sizes for girls of all ages.

To enter, Like Bizzy B Crafts on Facebook, then come back here and comment with the item you'll choose if you win!

For an additional entry, Favorite Bizzy B Crafts on Etsy. Good luck! :)

PS - Brittany is also offering See You There readers $5 off orders of $25 or more, using code fall2013. And though there are many sweet hair accessories to choose from, she also makes infinity scarves (love the simple, but bold colors of this one). So much to choose from. Happy shopping!
