After my and Maile's quick flight to Des Moines, my dad took us out for a quick (and delectable) burger lunch, and we headed to my parents' home in the small, quaint city of Pella. I've never gotten really into decorating our home for any holidays, but I'm feeling inspired to change.
I started counting the wreaths my mom has on display: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ... and feeling the warmth of the reds and golds she so effortlessly uses in her decor. If I could bottle up the coziness and bring it home with me, I would! Maybe, just maybe, I'll try my hand at styling Christmas in our own house next year.
just lovely, katie! :)
