Real Oilfield Wives Writing Gig

Real Oilfield Wives has hired me as a paid writer for their website! I will be writing for ROW twice a month, to start. This is seriously new territory for me, but I'm super excited to now be an official part of such an awesome community of women. :)

To those of you who visited, shared, commented, liked during my application process, thank you!

  9. Congratulations! Very excited for you and I'm excited the story will be told. My dad has been a fisherman for 30 years now, and although it's completely different, I know what long absences are, moved holidays, loneliness. Just last night I took my babies to see him as he ships out for Alaska this morning.

    1. Oh, cool! Yeah, different profession, but so similar in the family lifestyle. Tim worked in Alaska for a couple of years, and made friends with some of the fishermen up there. You definitely know what it's like on the kiddo end of things!

    1. Thank you, sweet Yesenia! Haha! The bit about Ant made me crack up ... I couldn't agree more. I think the distance was actually worse in our dating years, because there was really no schedule to it. At least this is pretty predictable!

    1. Thanks so much! I wish we could have a party to celebrate. I was actually joking with Tim today ... "You know, Northern Canada looks beautiful. Let's go there for vacation this summer!" ;)
