Thankfulness

*Image via Luella Loves*

Now that it's November, Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. I'm not participating in any of the social media 30 Days of Thankful posts, but I do love reading everyone else's posts, and they've inspired me to put together this little list of things I'm thankful for today:

Snuggling
Cameras
Maile's first tooth, finally poking through!
Pumpkins
Clean sheets
Kisses
Stationery
Sunshine
Hawaiian music
Pancakes
Hardwood floors
Leaves crunching underfoot
Spaniels
Woody Creek Cafe's oatmeal-raisin cookies (with coconut!)
A fenced-in yard for our two dogs
Snow
Silvery hues
Toddler grins
K-LOVE Radio
Twirling
A new book about penguins, from Maile's sweet babysitter
Local apple juice
Singing
Heat in our home

What little things are you thankful for today?

I'm linking up this post with Julie Marie, of From Awkward to Art, and Tina, of Tico and Tina, for their "Blessed" linky party! This party will be running through November 23 -- Join, won't you?

  3. I'm thankful for the Church, God' word, tight knit family, 3 amazingly beautiful children, a hard working husband, girlfriends, hot apple cider, puppy kisses (even though our ol' girl is 12+), a warm house, rain fall ... but today I'm most thankful that my Daddy gets to come home from the hospital (Lord willing) after having knee replacement surgery on Friday.

My favorites from your list include our shared love (really an obsession for me) of K-LOVE radio and clean sheets. I strip our master bed 1st thing every.single.Monday.morning and love crawling into bed on Downy fresh sheets :)
I smiled at your thankfulness of hardwood floors. Really? I feel like I could clean them daily and still not stay ahead of the crumbs, dirt, foot tracks, etc. I'll take them any day over carpet though!

    1. This is the perfect list, Christine. And that is just thrilling that your dad gets to come home! Wishing him a speedy, and complete, recovery.

Oh yes, K-LOVE is on in my car, and I'm either streaming it on my computer, or from my phone, almost all day throughout the house! Our master bed gets stripped and changed on Saturdays. Ahhhh. So wonderful!

So, your comment re: hardwood floors made ME laugh, because I can't tell you how often I complain about the hardwood on the ground floor of our house. Between our two dogs, and Maile, they are hardly ever clean -- no matter how often I sweep, Swiffer, and Orange-Glo them! Buuut, as you said, so much better than carpet! I'm hoping that by adding them to my list, I'll learn to be more thankful for them on a daily basis. ;)

Also, can we talk about your lovely name? How is it pronounced? I ask because we get that question a lot about our daughter Maile's name (which is pronounced My-lee).
